Case Series of Pneumomediastinum in COVID-19 Infection

Introduction: Pneumomediastinum is rare in viral infection of the lung however COVID-19 patients it more common. Study Design: Case series 14 moderate to severe COVID cases complicated by admitted Saint George Hospital over 4 months. Data was collected retrospectively from medical charts patients. Results: Most were males. Average hospital stay 15.21 days. Five (35.72%) developed pneumomediastinum without any kind mechanical ventilation during hospitalization. Around 35.72% discharged and average time till death 8.8 Conclusion: can develop positive pressure infection.
